Screen Time
My personal screen time has been on the rise again. The numbers creep up and my anxiety goes up along with it.
But then I look at the breakdown of where the time is going, and it suddenly makes sense. I finished an ebook recently that had me glued to my phone, so the minutes allotted to the Books app were very high.
Should I stop tracking the screen time on my phone if I plan to continue reading ebooks? Or should I keep ebooks on a separate device so that I can better control the time spent on my phone?
I have an iPad that I have a few dedicated apps on. I have an RSS reader for news that I only look at when I have my iPad in evenings. Helps to control the firehose of bad news to a certain part of the day. I also had planned to read more books with the iPad, but I also have the Books app on my phone.
How do you manage the juxtaposition of reading ebooks on your phone and managing your screen time?
